Tata Motors Ltd said on Thursday the southern state of Karnataka had offered land for a plant for its Nano car after the firm was forced to suspend work in West Bengal due to violent protests."Karnataka has offered 1,000 acres (400 ha) of land and incentives for setting up the Nano plant in the state," a Tata Motors spokeswoman told Reuters.Ravi Kant, Tata Motors' managing director, met the chief minister of Karnataka on Thursday in Bangalore, the state capital, she said.The firm had said it would look for alternative locations after protests by farmers disrupted work in West Bengal.
